Jill & Howard

I know we all complained about the heat in the summer – but I miss it now! HA! So let me take you back to a beautiful summers day, when these two legends got married: Jill and Howard! I knew when I first met them that it was going to be a great day! Straight in from the gym to our meeting, it was clear that Jill loved a challenge, and not only was she planning a wedding but prepping for a New York marathon!! Howard is not shy to adventure either, having proposed to Jill on a surf board!! So the day at the Didsbury House Hotel was always going to be a great one!

The morning begun at their Didsbury home, with no less that their awesome pet featuring as a ring bearer! See the image below!

As the sun shone we arrived at the venue to hear the amazing band The Magpies playing to welcome the guests. This band got the party started at the end of the day too, showing how versatile they are to hire for your wedding day!

The service was actually lead by Howard’s dad, Hedley Paul Spargo, who normally leads weddings in Ibiza. He used a traditional ceremony of the giving cup and tying the knot, which was enjoyed by everyone! The flowers were created by Sian and her amazing team at The Flower Lounge. If you need flowers for any event – look no further!

We then found our way to the wonderful Fletcher Moss Gardens for couple shots, which was a great moment to take some time away and for Jill and Howard to actually chat to each other – surprising how on a wedding day you end up talking to everyone else!

Finally, the reception. Incredible food from the Didsbury House Hotel and the speeches – well, you can see from the pics; the team of best men, smashed it!

I had an amazing email from Jill and Howard after the wedding which is why I still do what I do after 10 years in the business:

“Firstly, thank you so very much for helping to make our wedding such an awesome day. We are so glad that it was you taking our photos on the day and love looking through the photos you took. You made us feel so relaxed around you and managed to make me look good on a photo (something very few have managed). Our day was extra special to us in that we had family and friends involved in almost every part; from celebrant to cake, MC to flowers. You slotted in perfectly and felt like part of that family.

I know you love your job and it truly shows. It’s obvious that you also love connecting with people and that shines through in our photos. You really caught the characters in our guests, especially the children.

Thank you again for being a wonderful part of our day. If you would like our recommendation at any point, would like us to rewrite this email or post it anywhere on social media etc. then please let me know and we would be delighted to do so.”
